The south span of Al Mat Bridge, a key transportation link in Iraq, re-opened to traffic on February 9, 2004. Al Mat, one of three priority bridges that Bechtel is reconstructing in Iraq, is located on Highway 10 that carries over 3,000 trucks daily, bringing humanitarian aid and goods to Baghdad and other Iraqi cities from Jordan (February 2004).
